Marin Kitagawa is in danger with the arrival of "Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!"

 Just like Kirito from "Sword Art Online" became an icon of isekai (despite not strictly being one), Marin Kitagawa also emerged as a symbol of "gyaru" stories (known as "gals" in English). "Gals" are teenage girls obsessed with every detail of their appearance. They apply makeup, style their hair and nails, buy tons of clothes and accessories, change their hair color, tan their skin, maintain a slim figure, and sport flashy outfits.

In the past, characters like Yukana Yame from "Hajimete no Gal" and Galko from "Please Tell Me! Galko-chan" represented "gals" in anime, but Marin Kitagawa managed to claim that position. However, some argue that "this reign might be in jeopardy" due to the revelation of more details about the anime adaptation of the manga "Hokkaido Gals Are Super Adorable!" (Dosanko Gal wa Namara Menkoi). This series features Minami Fuyuki, who is also a "gal."
