Netflix announces an anime series for Tomb Raider

 Netflix has pleasantly surprised fans by giving a first look at 'Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft,' their upcoming anime series featuring the voice of Hayley Atwell. This project was initially announced by the streaming platform in early 2021 when they partnered with Legendary to expand the universes of Skull Island and Tomb Raider with two new anime series.

The Tomb Raider anime series will closely follow the plot of Square Enix's popular video games and continue the story after the reboot trilogy, taking viewers on an exciting adventure with Lara Croft as she explores new territories.

Netflix has announced that the series will premiere in 2024 during their first DROP 01 event, a virtual showcase that unveiled their upcoming animation offerings. Tomb Raider has become a global franchise spanning movies, merchandise, and comics. This new project from Netflix and Legendary marks the first time Lara Croft has appeared in an animated series.
